The Ball and Chain is a historic venue with a modern take on all things eating and drinking. We have a small selection of plates with locally sourced ingredients, but our main point of emphasis and our staff’s biggest passion is the beverage.

Local Craft Beer from all over Australia with a huge smattering of WA influence. Modern creative cocktails with local ingredients, as well as the tried-and-true classics everyone loves. Spectacular wines from across our state and even a few from a couple of the others.

Over the years, the Pub has been beautifully restored, highlighting some of the unique features of yesteryear and tastefully decorated with warm timber and copper finishes. The main bar has the original timber from the Matilda Bay Brewery right here in Fremantle.
